Contemporary dance workshops

These workshops are not so much aimed at learning some special dance techniques, but developing awareness of the relationship between psychological and physical as well as the opening of space for a creative process in dance.

Participants develop a physical understanding of dance and movement principles such as: placement, posture, expression, breath and weight, spatial awareness, detailed awareness and sensitivity to movement material and apply these to an independently led performance context. There are no pre-offered choreographic matrices, but the participants, regarding the tasks, search for their forms of body expression in dance. Workshop co-leader is usually Jovana Rakić (dancer and choreographer).

At the end of the workshop participants usually perform some dancing material before an audience.
